LatAm Tour : c’est fini…
8e et dernière étape de la tournée sud-américaine de The Cure : Mexico. Et, fruit du hasard, Robert Smith fêtait ce soir là son 54e anniversaire. Et les 58 000 spectateurs de cette ultime date n’ont pas regretté de s’être déplacés… 
Quand on est un groupe de rock élevé au rang d’icône et qu’on fête l’anniversaire de son chanteur, tout aussi mythique, que proposer au public ? Si vous vous appelez The Cure, la réponse est toute trouvée : un concert fleuve. On se doutait que Robert Smith mobiliserait ses troupes afin d’offrir un show version XL aux fans mexicains. En fait, c’était un peu plus que cela… Jugez plutôt : 50 titres jouées, 4 rappels (de 25 chansons !) et 4 h 16 mn de live ! Pas mal pour un « vieux » monsieur…
A noter également une petit anecdote qui a dû en effrayer plus d’un… Quelques minutes avant le concert, un séisme d’une magnitude de 5,9 sur l’échelle de Richter a frappé Mexico. Et Tim Pope, fidèle à son habitude, filmait à ce moment là, comme il le précise sur son compte Twitter :
